Lovely Ladies by naomi-makes-art73 Lovely Ladies by naomi-makes-art73
Omg it's been almost two years since I've drawn LoK fanart...

Anyway, Korra and Asami are my fave duo in the show right now, (though Bolin and Eska are pretty cute, too) but yeah, I'm hoping there's just gonna be a lot of screen time this season with these two just hanging out, fucking shit up making fun of Mako you know, girl stuff.

Yes I know! I was so happy that they weren't concerned about what happened to Mako in the past, it made me happy that they were spending so much time together :meow:

I was so glad that they didn't give him excuses! It was just like 'hey, it happened, it's not the end of the world, team avatar ain't got time for that yo we're trying to rebuild an entire nation up in here'
Between that and finally having a disabled bender, this season is just knocking it out of the park on important things that should be represented in something both children/teens and adults watch.

I completely agree! I was so disappointed because the ratings were getting really low and Nickolodeon stopped airing Korra on TV and just started releasing the rest of the episodes online, and since I don't have really fast internet I usually use the TV to watch it, I was devastated. I was literally just thinking "Why on earth isn't this season doing as well? There's so much going on, Korra and Asami aren't involved with Mako at all, we finally see Ba Sing Se again, and it's still just as creepy, we finally get to see Zuko alive, and we see Toph's other daughters, and the Red Lotus is such a power squad, like they are all so different and cool!" This new season is just so creative, and I love it so much.

I agree with you on every point. I only just heard about it being taken off TV. Here in Australia the first book didn't start airing until months after it had finished airing in America, and there was literally no advertising for it. So I had to watch it online. I only just caught up with the end of season 2 and season 3 these past few weeks as my internet died a while back and recently got fixed and upgraded. I think it's partly because of so many people having to watch it online (particularly those of us not in America) and partly because of how mature it got while still being marketed and advertised as a cartoon for children. I mean everyone was complaining when it first started that it wasn't as deep as AtLA and it was too happy go lucky and then all of a sudden everything got very real and serious in such a short amount of time that I think a lot of younger people might have lost interest?
This season has been the best by far, I just hope that the fan base is willing to go to war if they decide to cancel it altogether :/ I feel like it's definitely big enough to.

From what I have read, Mike and Brian said that they won't be cancelling the show, that there is still gonna be a 4th season, because Nickolodeon commissioned it a couple years back when the first season was so successful. So they should still be developing the last season. I for one really enjoy the show, even if there is unnecessary love triangles sometimes, I understand that younger-viewers enjoy that kind of thing. lol. I even got to see Janet Varney in a panel at a convention, and i just really love her, I think she's so awesome, and maybe if we're lucky the next season might boom and they might commission for a 5th season! :meow:

I did not know that thank you for sharing! Thank goodness for pre-signed contracts xD I do too, I mean I really wasn't a fan of Mako in general let alone with Asami or Korra but it didn't make me not want to watch the show it just made me, kind of want to draw myself flicking Mako in the nostril a lil' bit? xD I mean I was a huge Zutara shipper but I still enjoy Kataang and seeing all their babies and stuff, so maybe it's just impossible for me to get mad at anything to do with Avatar xD
Oh that sounds so awesome!! I'm not very familiar with Janet Varney but I always thought it would be really weird hearing Korra's voice come out of this lovely blonde woman, you know? xD
That would be really great. I've also been secretly wishing for a series about grown up gaang babies this whole time so I'm going to keep crossing my fingers for both!
